Frequently Asked Questions

Built for Kids. Designed for Teens. Trusted by Parents.

About JumpStar

  • What is JumpStar?

JumpStar is a movement app designed for children and teens (ages 6–17). We use gamification to help users build healthy habits, coordination, and focus through short daily activities.

  • Who is JumpStar for?
    • Kids (6–12): Focuses on fun, fundamental movements, and coordination.
    • Teens (13–17): Focuses on engaging challenges, agility, and active breaks.
  • Is JumpStar a replacement for sports?

No. It is not an elite sports training program or a substitute for PE class. It is designed to support an active lifestyle at home.

Daily Quests

  • What is a "Quest"?

A Quest is your child’s daily activity session. It is a curated mix of different drills designed to fit a specific time frame (15, 25, or 35 minutes).

  • How does JumpStar decide what exercises to show?

Our engine builds a unique Quest each day based on two factors:

    • Time: Based on the duration you select.
    • Variety: To prevent boredom and ensure a balanced mix of movements.
  • Do users have to maintain a "streak"?

No. We do not punish missed days. JumpStar encourages consistency but allows kids to skip or stop whenever they need to.

Drills & Activity Types

  • What kind of Drills are included?

JumpStar keeps things fresh by mixing 6 core types of movement. Users won't do all of these every day, but will experience a healthy variety:

    • Cardio
    • Strength
    • Reaction
    • Flexibility
    • Sports Sim
    • Dual Activity
  • What is Cardio drill?

These are high-energy movements designed to raise the heart rate, such as jumping jacks or quick-feet drills. The goal is building stamina through fun, not exhaustion.

  • What is Strength drill?

These are safe, bodyweight-only exercises like squats, lunges, or planks. We focus on core stability and healthy growth patterns. No heavy weights are ever used.

  • What is Reaction drill?

These are gamified challenges that connect the brain and body. They improve hand-eye coordination, reaction speed, and focus.

  • What is Flexibility drill?

These are lower-intensity stretching and mobility movements. They are often used to cool down after a Quest to improve range of motion and aid recovery.

  • What is Sports Sim drill?

These drills mimic real sports movements—like basketball defense footwork or tennis swings—performed without a ball. This helps kids build athletic patterns applicable to any sport.

  • What is Dual Activity?

This is an optional mode where two users play together on a single device (e.g., an iPad or iPhone). It turns movement into a cooperative or friendly competitive game.

Safety & Privacy

  • Is JumpStar safe?

Yes. We avoid extreme intensity and risky movements. The app encourages children to listen to their bodies and stop if they feel tired.

  • Does the app have chat or social features?

No. There is no public chat, no messaging, and no social feed. Your child cannot communicate with strangers through the app.

  • How is my child’s data handled?

We strictly follow U.S. child privacy regulations (COPPA). We do not sell data and do not show third-party ads to children.

Subscription & Account

  • How much does JumpStar cost?

JumpStar is a premium subscription service:

    • Monthly: $14.99
    • Annual: $99.99

Both plans include full access to all features.

  • Is there a free trial?

We do not offer a permanent free version. Limited trials or preview content may be available depending on current App Store offers.

  • Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. You can cancel strictly through your Apple ID settings. This stops future billing, but access remains until the end of the current cycle.

  • Where can I download JumpStar?

JumpStar is available exclusively on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
